Well Ladies and Gents… it has been a little while since I gave you another blog to read up on. We have had a few weeks off since my last entry so I felt it was only right to get you up to speed. Our first week off I took it rather easy for the first few days and let my shoulder rest up a bit, then it was back to riding. Some friends and my Wife and I checked out MotoX at the X Games along with Super Moto. I must say I wasn’t too jealous that I was not in the field racing. The track looked like it had a great layout but the condition of the track was a different story. It was dry, hard and dusty!! MC held off quite of few charges and it was great to see the King out racing again!! Then the fun was nearly over, it was time to get back to putting in laps. I had Wil Hahn back out in Cali with me and our best bud R-Fed out pushing us until we wanted to puke!! Lap after lap I knew it was for the best, especially after not being able to ride during the week after dislocating my shoulder at Red Bud. So we set up to make Sunday fun day. We went down to Newport Beach and bought a few beach cruisers and had a blast riding them around with some friends and the Wives. Then it was back to work Tuesday at the track, being hot and sweaty out in the sun for hours. Those are the days that most people don’t understand what goes on behind the scenes. The time spent on and off the track during the week. Don’t get me wrong we have a great job but just like any other job it has rough days and really fun days. The rough ones are the ones that make it all better at the end of the day, knowing even though you may not of been riding your best or having the most fun, you still put the work in and made it happen. I know I am not a multi-time Champion of the sport but at the end of the day we all put our blood, sweat and tears into this sport to make sure that we show up as prepared as possible. I am planning on making the most out of the remainder of the season to ensure that I have accomplished my goals set out at the beginning of the season and also to be back under a big rig to start out the SX series in 09. Until next time, Thanks for reading and keep it rubber side down.
